Our vibe coding rescue takes an AI-built app, puts it in front of senior developers for a full code and security review, fixes what matters, then takes over development, hosting and maintenance. If your business now has customers, data or money depending on the app, this is for you.
You built something real. It runs, customers are using it, and it handles money or data you can't afford to lose. Your vibe-coded app has grown beyond the prototype you shipped - more users, more edge cases, more weight on something you've never fully looked inside. What you can't see is when it might stop, what a fix would take, or whether it's safe right now.
The signs are familiar. A fix to one thing breaks something else. The person who built it has moved on - or is you, and you've hit the edge of what the tool can do. You're not sure what happens to customer data once it enters the system. A payment integration, a login flow or a public launch is coming, and the pressure is building. The tool's credits are running up with no clear end point.
That's what a rescue is for.
A vibe-coded app can look finished and still be unsafe. The gap isn't usually obvious from the outside.
A review usually turns up the same short list: permission checks that only run in the browser, which anyone can bypass by calling the server directly; API keys and passwords sitting in the code where anyone with repository access can read them; no automated tests, so there's no reliable way to know what a change will break; no backups you control; no way to roll back a bad deployment. The structure can be entirely sound and the gaps still serious enough to cause a breach.
For the full list of vibe coding risks, see our detailed guide. Here we focus on the rescue.
The review answers the fix or rebuild question before you commit to any work.
Some apps need targeted fixes: the structure is sound, the gaps are specific, and patching them is straightforward. Others need sections rebuilt, because fixing the original code would cost more than writing that part properly. A smaller number need a full rebuild because the foundations cannot hold real production use.
The review report separates urgent gaps from structural ones, so you can see clearly what a targeted fix addresses and what it leaves unchanged. We tell you which category your app falls into once the review is complete, with the findings in front of both of us. You decide what to do next with full information and no sunk cost from a commitment made before seeing the code. If the rebuild route is the right answer, our web development team handles it.
If the app has already been compromised, that comes first: our hacked website recovery service deals with the breach, including on AI-built apps, and the rescue follows once the app is clean.
These tools are good at what they do. Getting a working first version built fast is exactly what they're designed for. Each takes a different approach to scaffolding and generation, and apps written with ChatGPT look different again. We also work on apps that sit on top of spreadsheets or SharePoint rather than a purpose-built database, where the app logic has outgrown the data layer it was built on.
What matters for a rescue is two things: whether we can get the code out and run it ourselves, and what language it's written in. We work on apps built with PHP, Node.js or JavaScript, whichever tool produced them.
Tell us what your app is built on and we'll tell you whether we can help.

Once the app is in shape, the question is how to keep it that way.
We use blue-green or canary releases, so a new version can be tested against live traffic before it fully replaces the previous one. If something goes wrong, the rollback is there. Development after the rescue follows the same process: code reviewed, security checked, deployed through the same pipeline. Changes go through the process, not around it.
Where hosting is part of the arrangement, we run apps on hosting in UK data centres, using Docker and automated CI/CD deployment - optional, but available as part of the ongoing relationship. Apps are monitored, with alerts actioned during working hours.
We set up backups and handle patching and dependency updates as a standard part of the service.
If your app collects or stores customer data, UK GDPR places obligations on your business. The review looks at where that data is stored, who can reach it and what is logged, so those questions are answered before the app grows. If it turns up data you hadn't realised was being stored, or stored in a way you didn't intend, that's worth knowing now. We don't offer legal advice, but the review gives you a technical picture you can act on.
Most of our rescue work is under NDA. The security issues a review turns up are not something clients want made public - and that's entirely reasonable. If you want to understand what the work involves, the best approach is to get in touch and talk it through in confidence.
Talk it through with us in confidence, and we'll tell you plainly what your app needs.
