We are an AI consultancy for owner-run businesses - based in Nottingham, working across the East Midlands and throughout the UK. We find the jobs AI can take off your plate, train your team to use it safely, and build what is worth building.
AI consulting starts with one question: which jobs in a small business like yours take more time than they should? The answer decides what is worth doing first.
The jobs AI handles well have a clear trigger, a predictable structure, and an output that someone checks before it goes anywhere. These are the kinds of AI use cases that tend to fit.
None of these should run unsupervised. The AI handles the structure and the volume; where automation makes sense, your team still handles the judgement.
Our AI consultancy is organised around three questions: what should you do first (Plan), what should we build (Build), and how do you rank in the AI-driven search results your customers are already using (Grow)?
Planning covers three things: an AI opportunity audit to find and cost the best opportunities in your business, training for your team on the tools they already use, and an AI use policy if you don't have one.
The opportunity audit is a fixed-fee piece of work that finds the 3-5 jobs in your business most worth tackling, costs each one, and hands you a prioritised written plan. The report is yours to keep whether or not you go further with us.
AI training is a practical session for up to 12 staff on the tools they already use for everyday tasks, and what never to paste in. Delivered by our director, Callum, mainly remote over Microsoft Teams, with on-site available on request.
If your business does not have an AI use policy for staff, we can provide one.
Build covers AI features built into custom software we design and develop: search, extraction, drafting or generation, integrated into the tool your team already uses. For a full guide to when bespoke software is the right answer, we have a detailed article.
If you have an app built with an AI coding tool - Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Base44 or similar - and it needs to be production-ready, our AI-built app rescue handles the review, the fixes, and ongoing development.
Grow covers AI search - making sure your business appears in the results that ChatGPT, Perplexity and similar tools return when your customers search for what you do. We handle that through our AI search and SEO plans. That page has the detail and the pricing.
Every engagement follows the same four stages, in the same order.
We talk to you and your team, map how the work actually gets done, find the AI opportunities, cost each one, and hand you a written plan - your AI strategy for the year ahead. You own it whether or not you do anything else with us.
We pick the highest-value opportunity from the audit and build a working version - scoped to test the job, not to cover the whole business. The pilot answers whether the approach works before you commit to full implementation.
If the pilot is worth taking further, we build it properly - into your existing software, into a workflow, or as a new feature. The scope comes from the audit and the pilot; nothing is built without a clear case for it.
After build, we maintain and monitor what we have built. Alerts are actioned during working hours.
The audit is the usual starting point. It is a fixed-fee piece of work with a written deliverable, and it is more than a free health check or a sales call.
We start with a session with the owner, 60 to 90 minutes on Teams, covering where you want the business to go, where your own time goes, and what you would never hand to a machine. Then we interview your staff, one interview for each distinct role that involves repetitive work, 30 to 45 minutes each. The aim is to understand how the work actually gets done, not how it is supposed to get done.
From those conversations we build a process map, score and cost each AI and automation opportunity, and produce a written report. The report covers the 3-5 jobs most worth tackling: what each one costs to build, an estimate of the time it saves, which route makes sense, and what to watch on data and risk. The plan is ranked, so you know where to start.
The route we recommend may not be a build from us. Sometimes the right answer is a feature of a tool the business already pays for, or a process change that needs no new software at all. We name the cheapest route that does the job, including when that route does not involve us.
The audit also covers the AI tools your business already uses - how they are set up and whose accounts they run on - and flags any licence terms worth checking for commercial use. Your AI readiness is covered in the report's recommendations alongside data handling and staff confidence.
Our AI training is delivered by our director, Callum. Each session takes up to 12 people - mainly remote over Microsoft Teams, with on-site sessions available on request.
The standard session covers the tools your staff already use - ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude - for practical everyday work: drafting emails, summarising documents, meeting notes, research with sources, and spreadsheet help. The core of every session is what never to paste into an AI tool, and how to check what comes back before you act on it. Everyone leaves with the session materials and an attendance record. The full-day option adds a workshop where each team builds reusable prompt templates from their own real tasks.
For IT administrators, there is a separate session available on request: setting up, securing and monitoring business AI tools across platforms. It covers admin consoles, data controls, audit logs, identity management, and stopping unapproved tools and connectors. Microsoft 365 licensing and tenant configuration stays with your IT provider - we work alongside them, not instead of them.
EU AI Act and AI literacy
Article 4 of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) requires businesses providing or using AI systems in the EU to take measures to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy among their staff. It has applied since 2 February 2025. The full text is on EUR-Lex. It is EU law rather than UK law, and whether it applies to you depends on what your business does in the EU. This is not legal advice, so take your own on what it means for you.
Every AI system we build that handles personal data is built against a written set of rules.
We only use AI providers that are on our approved tools list, with model training on your data switched off by contract or confirmed setting. The system only receives the personal data its job requires - details the AI does not need are stripped before the model processes anything.
No AI system we build makes a decision with significant effects on a person without a human reviewing it first. Every system says it is an AI - in the interface or in its greeting - built in from the start. Conversation and run logs sit on our own infrastructure in the UK.
Before any system goes live, we run a test set of real questions, including privacy cases: what happens when someone asks for another customer's details, or asks the system to repeat its instructions. It must handle those correctly before it goes anywhere near your customers or staff.
We tell you which providers process your data and where, and what transfer safeguards apply under UK GDPR. For anything involving your Microsoft 365 tenant or other IT administration, that work sits with your IT provider.
We use AI in our own business, so we know what it takes to make it work reliably.
Our CMS platform includes AI content tools and an AI agent interface. We run an AI assistant on our own admin and inbox. Our SEO process uses AI for research, optimisation, and populating pages and structured data. Our build process includes automated code checks and security reviews, and our AI tools are approved for security testing work. We also do AI-assisted video creation and editing.
For clients: we built an AI phone system for a trades business that pulls in their calls and gets jobs booked in. For a locksmith business, we built knowledge bases, an ERP, and customer and marketing tracking. We also train custom image and video models and build the tooling around them.
We have delivered over 50 projects. In 2022, we won Best Start-Up Web Design/Development Business - East Midlands at the SME News awards. We hold Cyber Essentials certification, valid to 22 October 2027.
The AI opportunity audit works best for small businesses where the following are true.
If you are looking for an AI consultant who works with owner-run small businesses rather than enterprise clients, that is what we do. If you have fewer than five staff, the audit may cost more than it saves at this point - we would suggest a training session or a single scoped build as a better starting point.
We are based in Nottingham and work on-site across the East Midlands. We work with UK businesses everywhere else remotely.
